Together with St. Paul Catholic Church we prepare and serve a community meal at Trinity Episcopal Church on the Fifth Sundays in months which have five Sundays. At the first Feast of 2017, we helped serve close to 150 meals!
In April and July we served around 140 plates. Among other comments, we heard: "Exquisite—you should cook this on Good Morning America" and "I'm gonna pray you people aren't raptured—this food is too good to miss."
For each Feast, we need people to purchase and prepare food in advance, and then to help with set-up, service, and clean-up on the day of the Feast. Our next Fifth Feast will be on September 30 and we are always happy to have extra hands to help!
Besides giving hands-on help, you can also contribute to the Fifth Feast fund via the offering plate. If you are interested in learning more, read our Fifth Feast FAQ, online.
